New filip for Dubai Metro riders

The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has announced that now commuters on the Dubai metro will be able to make the commute between Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Station (DMCC) and Ibn Battuta Station on the Red Line from April 19, without any hurdles.
The developments come as a major relief for metro riders who have to use the services of a shuttle bus between the two destinations, since the metro services in the route were scrapped in January of 2018 in order to make amends for the construction works involving the setting up of Route 2020.

The works involve the establishment of a new metro station that will be subsequently linked to the existing metro station. The RTA also announced that the Tower Station and Nakheel Harbour will remain shut. The adjoining multi-level parking terminal will also be closed till the authorities issue further notice.
